Where people make the mistake, and often end up loosing a lot of money, is that they assume just any lawyer would do. Remember that not all lawyers or attorneys have court room experience. However, if you feel its a simple case of negotiating a divorce agreement then ensure that your lawyer, or attorney, is experienced in that field and is a "people" person.
It is important that they are experienced in your state or county. If you live in United States then its important to remember that every state has its own Divorce Law. If you live in United Kingdom then you need to remember that the UK Divorce Law in England and Wales is different to that of Ireland or Scotland.
